Service Delivery Sub-Group
3rd February 2004 at 6.30pm at Lansbury Lodge, Ricardo Street, E14
MINUTES
- Present: Simon Kempson, Valerie Durrance, George Farmer, Richard Isabell (Poplar
Harca), Andrew Hargreaves (Poplar Harca).
- Apologies were received from Ms D Paul.
- Introductions were made within the group.
- Due to the small numbers of the group it was decided to delay the election of a Chair until
the next main steering group on 24th February. In addition, these minutes will be sent to all
steering group members with an invitation to chair this group.
- The terms of reference of the service delivery sub-group were outlined to the group.
- Richard Isabell explained that the service delivery sub-group is one of four sub-groups reporting to the main steering group. The others being leaseholder, technical and regeneration. The group was then given a copy of the Service Delivery Performance Review for July - September 2003 and the Estate Services Performance Review for December 2003 to give an outline of services offered, performance given and the level of
accountablility HARCA has to its residents.
- Simon Kempson expressed a desire to see these services and procedures in action. The group also queried action taken by HARCA concerning Leaseholder properties especially when their problems affect the block as a whole. Richard Isabell said HARCA used a common sense policy when dealing with repairs when Leaseholder problems were detrimental to the block. HARCA also has right of entry into tenant's residences which can be exercised when there is a health and safety risk.
- The group decided that the main elements to be addressed at the next meetings.are:
- Responsive repairs - Tuesday 30th March, 4.30pm (Chrisp Street - to see call centre in action)
- Cleaning, caretaking and horticulture - Tuesday 11th May, 6.30pm (Lansbury Lodge)
- Housing management and centrally based services - Tuesday 22nd June, 6.30pm (Lansbury Lodge)
- There was no further business and the meeting was closed at 7.35pm.
Minutes were prepared by Andrew Hargreaves.
