MINUTES

  1. Present: Simon Kempson (Chair), Jonathan Smith (Baily Garner), Asma Sarfaraz (Baily Garner), Robin Whitby (Poplar HARCA), Andrew Hargreaves (Poplar HARCA)

  2. Apologies for absence were received from Julie Browne, Mo Ali, Kleo Georgio.

  3. The minutes of 29th June 2004 were approved.

  4. Baily Garner presented information on progress made over the summer and there was an opportunity to look at some of the work they have been doing on environmental works.

  5. PPCR's invoices for the period May to July 2004 were discussed and it was unanimously agreed that we should request that the contract with PPCR is suspended and that we will investigate alternatives. It was agreed that the Chair would contact Femi Apata to see if this is possible. Assuming that PPCR can be suspended, information on alternatives will be presented at the next ESG.

  6. There were two items under Any Other Business, as follows:

    1. It was mentioned that the Open Space opposite Farrance Street is being used by building contractors. Harca will provide information on what is happening here for the next meeting.

    2. It was noted that Baily Garner have yet to provide the ESG with details of residents comments from the consultation event as per item 6 on the minutes of 29th June.
